TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The S Hotel, owned by Wang Xiaofei, the ex-husband of Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, was found to have its sign removed on Tuesday (March 26), and reports claim it may be renamed as "MGallery" at Taipei's Dunhua Road.
Wang, a Chinese businessman, caused a scene at the Sanzhangli Police Station in Taipei on March 22, threatening to report Hsu for drug abuse before quickly returning to Beijing the next day.
Last year, Wang transferred ownership of the S Hotel to the Accor Group, a French multinational hospitality company. The hotel may become the group's second branch in Taiwan.
In a live broadcast in November last year, Wang announced that the S Hotel had changed hands and would join the Accor Group, one of the world's largest hotel management groups. He also mentioned that the hotel would be rebranded and operate under the name MGallery.
