The Taipei City's Department of Health had imposed a NT$30,000 fine on the same day, citing her alleged role as a "mental consultant."
Following her withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race alongside Foxconn founder Terry Gou, Lai refocused on her primary work in the realms of mind, body, and spirit. Through her agent, Lai stated, "I have never intended to break the law, and I have always adhered to professional standards."
