TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Central Weather Administration (CWA) revealed on Wednesday (Dec. 27), the times for sunrise and sunset for New Year's Eve (2023) and New Year's Day 2024.
According to the CWA, the latest sunset on the main Taiwan island on Dec. 31, 2023, will be seen from the "Chi-Ku" sea wall, west of the Taijiang National Park in Tainan City, at 5:24:49 p.m.
The latest sunset on outlying islands will take place on at the L18 Stronghold beach on Lieyu island, at 5:29:16 p.m.
On the first day of 2024, the first glimmer of dawn's light on offshore islands will appear at Taitung's Orchid Island at 6:32:32 a.m.
At the Pingtung Hengchun Longkeng Ecological Reserve on Taiwan's main island, the first light of dawn will be seen at 6:35:02 a.m.
