Chen highlighted Hsiao's diplomatic skills and her strong connections within the political realms of these countries.
Discussing the anticipated collaboration between Lai and Hsiao, known as the "Lai-Hsiao team," Chen conveyed his respect for the candidates.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining respect for the vice-presidential candidate, acknowledging Hsiao's familiarity with Taiwan's foreign policy.
Chen and Hsiao have a longstanding working relationship, having collaborated for many years in Taiwan's Legislative Yuan.
