TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is reportedly planning to announce next Monday (Nov. 20) its electoral team pairing Lai Ching-te and Representative to the United States Hsiao Bi-khim, in the 2024 election.
After the duo registered with the Central Election Commission, Hsiao is slated to travel to Hualien for a campaign rally, and the establishment of the campaign headquarters next Sunday, according to the media report.
Having worked in the region for a decade, and running in the local elections thrice in the past, Hsiao holds a special connection with Hualien.
The report further indicated that a flurry of activity is currently seen in Hsiao's office as it undergoes urgent renovations.
