TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The most robust northeast monsoon of the season will reach Taiwan by Friday (Nov. 10) evening and last four days, according to meteorologist Wu Der-rong.
Wu attributed the stable, sunny weather and significant rise in temperature from Wednesday through Friday to the influence of "Indian summer," a term signifying an unexpected return of hot weather in autumn.
Wu warned of significantly colder weather by Monday evening and Tuesday morning next week due to the powerful northeast monsoon. Taipei's minimum temperature could drop to around 18 degrees, with lows across the flatlands likely to drop below 15 degrees.
