TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The northeast monsoon will intensify on Friday (Oct. 20), bringing sporadic rain to areas north of the central region and eastern Taiwan, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA).
The CWA stated that most areas will experience fair to sunny weather at noon, with localized bursts of rain predicted in mountainous areas and the southern regions in the afternoon.
Daytime temperatures will hover between 28 and 31 degrees Celsius nationwide. However, the CWA expects a notable diurnal temperature range in the central and southern regions.
The weather administration appealed to the public to pay attention to temperature changes and adjust clothing as necessary.
Typhoon Sanba, the 16th typhoon of the season that formed Wednesday, is projected to head northwest toward the sea west of Hainan Island with no direct impact on Taiwan.
