NEW TAIPEI (TVBS News) — A verbal dispute escalated into a physical altercation in New Taipei on the evening of June 20 (Tuesday) when a man named Yang took offense to derogatory comments made about his wife by another motorcyclist identified as Ni. The incident unfolded as the two men crossed paths in the vicinity.
Ni's curiosity about Yang's wife led him to inquire about how he managed to be with a foreign woman. Feeling insulted and violated, Yang immediately confronted Ni, triggering a heated exchange of words. Unable to resolve their differences through dialogue, the confrontation intensified when both individuals parked their motorcycles by the roadside and engaged in a physical altercation.
The altercation unfolded while Yang's wife and Ni's female friend stood nearby, witnessing the escalating aggression. Despite their attempts to intervene and defuse the situation, the emotional state of the two men rendered their efforts futile.
Ni forcefully pushed Yang to the ground, unleashing a flurry of punches. In response, Yang retaliated by using his helmet as a weapon, striking Ni with relentless force. The clash between the two men ensued, with Ni overpowering Yang and subjecting him to brutal blows.
The incident caught the attention of passersby, who promptly alerted the authorities. Police arrived at the scene to find Yang and Ni displaying visible signs of a physical altercation. Although neither party opted to press charges, both individuals were taken into custody for engaging in a public confrontation, violating social order laws.
