The adulterous relationship between Hong's wife and Guo began in 2022. They met online and in an accessible restroom on the e-commerce company's premises.
Motivated by anger and hurt, Hong took legal action against Guo, accusing him of violating his spouse's rights and demanding compensation worth NT＄800,000.
Eventually, the court decided in Hong's favor and ruled that Guo must pay NT＄200,000 to Hong for the emotional turmoil inflicted on him due to the affair. While this amount was significantly lower than Hong's initial demand of NT＄800,000, it is still substantial.
