TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Terry Gou, the Foxconn founder and Kuomintang (KMT) presidential primary candidate, visited supporters and friends in Hsinchu on Tuesday (May 9) before his second campaign rally in Pingtung City scheduled for later that day.
During the visit, Gou exchanged ideas with local government officials, including the speaker of the Hsinchu City Council, Hsu Siou-ruei, and Hsinchu Mayor Kao Hung-an.
A swarm of reporters awaited the candidate, seeking clarification on his potential partnership with Taiwan People's Party (TPP) Chairman Ko Wen-je, as well as the alleged attempts by the Tsai administration to impede his purchase of BNT vaccines.
In response to media inquiries, Gou said he would take to Facebook to provide a comprehensive explanation, emphasizing that "a fact is a fact" and that he will tell the truth using facts. Gou further hinted that he had already addressed the same issue in a post published on June 18, 2021.
Having held his first campaign rally in Kaohsiung City last Sunday, Gou has two other rallies scheduled for this week, including one on May 11 in Taichung City and another on May 12 in Banqiao District, New Taipei City.
