TAIPEI (TVBS News) — New York City-based content creator Jacky Chang, who hails from Taiwan, created a video shedding light on life in Taiwan for English speakers, which went viral earlier this year.
Talking to TVBS News, Chang discussed the inspiration behind the video.
"I feel like there's no doubt that people wouldn't be curious to find out whether foreigners can survive, not knowing any Chinese or can simply get by only speaking English," Chang said.
Chang also shared his perspective on Taiwan's goal of becoming a bilingual nation by 2030.
"It can be beneficial to a certain extent," he said. “It's inherently going to be challenging to adopt another language, especially having to speak it."
Chang has shifted his focus to his lifestyle channel, where he produces relatable content that piques viewers' curiosity.
"I like to share videos that make people curious," Chang said.
