Taiwan nabs 24 gold medals in World Sport Stacking Contest

SINGAPORE (TVBS News) — Taiwan has emerged victorious at Singapore's 2023 World Sport Stacking Championship (WSSC), clinching an impressive 24 gold medals. 

The tournament's standout performer was 8-year-old Yu Jing-ren from Kinmen County, who claimed five gold medals and one silver medal and set two world records.

 

Eleven-year-old Lu Tsai-ling from New Taipei City also made her mark, finishing three individual competitions in under 9.844 seconds and earning the title of fastest female contestant in the championship. 

In recognition of her achievement, Lu was awarded the most important trophy in the competition.

The 30-member Taiwan team proved their prowess, collectively winning 24 gold medals, 28 silver medals, and 20 bronze medals in the highly competitive tournament.
