NEW TAIPEI (TVBS NEWS) — The New Taipei City Government has announced a four-year plan to invest NT$800 million in education.
By 2030, the city aims to have bilingual teachers and programs in every middle and elementary school.
To further internationalize the education system, high schools will receive international exchange students, have sister schools, and offer opportunities for students to study abroad.
The plan also includes linking vocational education with the industry to provide students with a better understanding of the working environment.
With this investment, New Taipei hopes to improve the quality of education and create a more globally competitive workforce.
