Spain leads in global passport power, Taiwan at 70th (TVBS News)
TAIPEI (TVBS News) — VisaGuide World Passport Index unveiled on Monday (Dec. 11) the world's most powerful passports for December. Taiwan ranks 70th overall. Spain holds the top spot, with Germany at third place, and the United States at 40th.
The ranking assesses passports from 199 countries and territories using the Destination Significance Score (DSS), considering various factors.
The Spanish passport, ranked first, grants visa-free entry to 43 countries and visa-free access to another 106. Singapore, second and Asia's strongest, offers visa-free travel to 156 destinations.
Taiwan's passport allows visa-free entry to 100 countries and regions, lower than some global counterparts. China ranks 117th, with visa-free access to 46 countries.
