為回應基隆市長謝國樑選前「青年免費送電動機車」承諾，基隆市政府近期頻與機車廠商接觸。昨（19）日KYMCO 光陽集團柯勝峯董事長與基隆市長謝國樑一同召開記者會，成為既中華 e-moving 後第二位拜訪市府的廠商。內政部長林右昌表示，政府採購有一定法律程序，直接跟廠商談會有適法性和公平性問題，基隆市議員張之豪更在臉書質疑基隆市府在開「機車特賣會」，質問謝國樑「你還是基隆市長對吧？

隨著暑假到來，電動機車業者都搶在這個時候祭出優惠要吸引學生族群。像Gogoro跟中華e-moving都打出電動車超優惠租費，而光陽即將上市的ionex則是號稱可以放5顆電池，續航力可達200公里。

和燃油車力拚市佔，電動車除了政府高額補助，像e-moving、向銓，網購價再下殺，再來價格一向位在高水位的GOGORO，二代款新上市，政府補助、淘汰二行程算下來，一台車4萬有找。
