TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Students at Changhua Ching Cheng High School (彰化精誠中學) staged an Egyptian-themed performance Tuesday (Nov. 18) during the school's anniversary celebration. The class dressed as pharaohs, camels, and sphinxes while parading teacher Huang Wan-yu (黃琬瑜) portraying Cleopatra. The creative showcase captivated attendees with elaborate costumes and grand procession.
This marks the class's third consecutive year organizing themed celebrations, previously featuring "Pink Barbie" and "Conveyor Belt Sushi" themes. Students prepared extensively after mock exams, crafting props and rehearsing for the elaborate performance. Teacher Huang fostered strong bonds with students who expressed enthusiasm for the Egyptian theme.
Teacher Huang, known for her lively teaching style, has participated in school anniversaries for nearly 20 years. She earned recognition for memorable costumes including PPAP uncle, Cruella De Vil, and "Recycling Queen." Huang encourages environmental consciousness by having students use recycled materials for educational celebrations. ◼
