TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Premier Cho Jung-tai (卓榮泰) has scheduled four administrative legislative meetings Friday (Sept. 18) at the Executive Yuan, Taiwan's cabinet, to discuss legislative proposals for the new Legislative Yuan, Taiwan's parliament, session. The meetings include members from the Internal Administration Committee (內政委員會) and the Judiciary Committee (司法及法制委員會). Officials plan to address policy issues and coordinate upcoming legislative initiatives.

President Lai Ching-te (賴清德) emphasized the Democratic Progressive Party's (DPP, 民進黨) respect for caucus autonomy while insisting caucus meetings every Friday and administrative legislative coordination meetings every Monday proceed as scheduled. DPP Secretary-General Hsu Kuo-yung (徐國勇) reiterated Lai's directive at a press conference following the Central Executive Committee meeting (中執會). Officials highlighted the importance of policy group meetings within each committee.

Cho plans additional meetings with Finance Committee (財政委員會) and Education and Culture Committee (教育及文化委員) members Monday (Sept. 22). Tuesday sessions include the Economic Committee and Transportation Committee representatives. Thursday meetings will feature the Foreign Affairs and National Defense Committee (經濟委員會) and Social Welfare and Environmental Hygiene Committee (社會福利及衛生環境委員會) to exchange views. ◼
