TAIPEI (TVBS News) — NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang (黃仁勳) touched down in Taiwan Friday (Aug. 22) morning at 9:20 a.m. aboard a private jet. The tech executive returned from a pivotal China visit where he announced NVIDIA's H20 chip market entry. Trump administration approval came with conditions requiring NVIDIA to remit 15 percent of sales revenue to U.S. authorities.

Huang confirmed during a China Central Television interview (CCTV, 央視) that U.S. authorities granted the necessary export license for H20 chip sales in China. The Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission (CAC, 中國國家網信辦), China's internet regulator, summoned NVIDIA representatives the day after White House approval. CCTV News reported potential cybersecurity risks, including possible tracking capabilities and remote shutdown features embedded within the H20 chip.
