Meteorologist Wu Der-romg (吳德榮) confirmed the storm's transformation will deliver significant rainfall to northern Taiwan Thursday and Friday (July 24-25). Wu explained that Typhoon Francisco will track across Taiwan's eastern waters before advancing into northern seas, developing only into a weak system due to vertical wind shear limitations. Another tropical system north of Guam poses no threat to Taiwan as it follows a more northerly trajectory. The meteorologist noted that greater Taipei Taiwan's capital region and eastern coastal areas will experience brief showers, while western mountainous regions may encounter afternoon thunderstorms potentially extending to plains areas.
Temperature forecasts predict sweltering conditions with highs of 34 degrees Celsius (93.2°F) in northern Taiwan, 35 degrees (95°F) in central and southern regions, and 32 degrees (89.6°F) in eastern areas. Wu emphasized that monsoon circulation and the typhoon's periphery will deliver noticeable rainfall and strong gusts to northern Taiwan Thursday and Friday (July 24-25).
