TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Ministry of Culture (MOC, 文化部) announced on Tuesday (Dec. 31) that the 2025 Culture Point (文化幣) initiative will launch Wednesday at 8 a.m., providing 600 points to nationals aged 13 to 15. Youths aged 16 to 22 born between Jan. 1, 2003, and Dec. 31, 2009, can receive 1,200 points. Eligibility is restricted to Republic of China (Taiwan) nationals or qualified foreigners.

Each Culture Point equals 1 New Taiwan dollar and can be used for cultural and artistic expenses from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2025. The Culture Point is redeemable at over 18,000 locations, including concerts, performances, exhibitions, live houses, board game experiences, community events, museums, and cultural journeys.

Consumers spending 350 points or more can earn a 100-point rebate, with no limit on the number of rebates. Bookstore purchases offer an additional point for every two points spent, with a maximum refund of 50% of the annual Culture Point. A single purchase of 200 points allows immediate lottery participation, unlimited entries, and instant results.

MOC emphasizes that the Culture Point cannot be exchanged for cash, resold, or used for ticket refund service fees. It must be used by Dec. 31, 2025, or it will expire.
