NEW TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Fuzhong Shopping Area (府中商圈) in New Taipei City has been transformed into a festive hub until Jan. 1, attracting many to its weekend market and drawing both locals and tourists to its Magical Fairytale Kingdom (魔法童話王國) Christmasland. South Korean cheerleader Lee Dahye (李多慧) joined the celebrations on Dec. 7, savoring local delicacies like egg cakes and mochi while capturing moments with the enchanting holiday decorations.
New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-ih (侯友宜) also attended, sharing a meal of spicy hotpot and desserts with Lee. He highlighted the area's rich historical and cultural backdrop, which has fostered a vibrant culinary scene, contributing to the New Taipei Happy Christmasland. Lee, dressed as a charming reindeer, expressed her fondness for Taiwanese snacks, saying, "Mochi, mochi, this is delicious." Her enthusiasm added to the lively atmosphere as visitors explored the 50 food stalls set up for the weekend market.
