TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The National Museum of Marine Science and Technology (NMMST, 國立海洋科技博物館) director was deemed unsuitable for a managerial role, and was reassigned to a non-managerial-position, the Ministry of Education (MOE, 教育部) announced on Wednesday (Nov. 27).

The MOE reported that Chen Su-Fen (陳素芬), who faced accusations of workplace bullying, was no longer fit to continue leading the museum and recommended a prompt adjustment to her role. The task force evaluated Chen's internal management and her supervision of subordinates.

Chen remains on leave until personnel procedures are complete. The task force will continue to investigate whether workplace bullying occurred and will release the results, responsibilities, and measures after the investigation.

Chen allegedly often yelled at subordinates at high volumes. The ministry dispatched personnel for an on-site inspection on Oct. 30. A task force comprised of three external committee members—a legal scholar, a social psychologist, and a lawyer—conducted the investigation.
