BUSAN (TVBS News) — A Taiwanese drama, "Imperfect Us" (不夠善良的我們), secured the Best Actress and Best Original Song awards on Sunday (Oct. 6) for Asia Contents Awards and Global OTT Awards.
The 29th Busan International Film Festival celebrated the Asia Contents and Global OTT Awards in Haeundae, Busan, a large port city in South Korea, known for its beaches, mountains and temples.
Taiwanese actors Austin Lin (林柏宏), Vivian Sung (宋芸樺), and Buffy Chen (陳姸霏) attended as award presenters.
Best Actress Award winner Ariel Lin (林依晨) delivered a speech in Korean and English, expressing that winning is a great motivation for her. She emphasized that good works can inspire courage and discover what truly matters in our lives.
"Imperfect Us" tells the story of a 40-year-old housewife and her imagined rival from 12 years ago. The two women, once love rivals, spent a decade envying each other's seemingly better lives through social media, only to discover upon meeting again that reality differed from their perceptions. The drama, nominated for five awards, ultimately won two major accolades, highlighting its international influence.
