TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Former president Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival by sharing her experience on a cultural cruise (文化遊艇) in Kaohsiung's Asia New Bay Area (亞洲新灣區) on Facebook on Tuesday (Sept. 17).
She praised the city's lively atmosphere and highlighted the contributions of international artists and bands to the local vibrancy.
Tsai marveled at Kaohsiung's transformation, noting that landmarks like The Pier-2 Art Center (駁二), Kaohsiung Music Center (高雄流行音樂中心), and Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (高雄展覽館) symbolize the city's prosperity. She emphasized these sites as crucial attractions for both domestic and international tourists.
Tsai also mentioned the improvements in Kaohsiung's public transportation, including the metro and light rail systems, making commuting more convenient.
The former president expressed confidence in Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai's (陳其邁) ability to continue working closely with the central government to advance the city's future.
