TAITUNG (TVBS News) — The Taitung County Government has launched the second season of the 2024 Taitung Tie Hua Light Festival (2024鐵花燈之祭) at the Tiehua Music Village, creating a dazzling spectacle in Taitung City.
The second season, held between July 6 and September 30, features five enchanting exhibition zones, transforming the area into a vibrant and colorful hub.
Following the first season's success, which attracted over 1 million visitors from April to June, the festival continues with a night sky-themed series of attractions.
The main highlight is a six-meter giant moon lantern, a popular photo spot for visitors. The exhibition includes five zones showcasing lanterns of an astronaut, the planets of the solar system, light tunnels simulating shooting stars, and a gallery featuring the zodiac signs.
This year's Tie Hua Light Festival also coincides with the Taiwan International Balloon Festival. From July 24 to August 1, hot air balloons shaped like the Earth and the moon floated over the Luye Highlands, offering visitors a unique experience during their stay in Taitung.
