TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Tourism Administration (觀光署) has launched the NT$2,800 Taiwan PASS Taiwan Railway version on Monday (July 1) in a bid to boost tourism in the Hualien-Taitung region. The limited offer will only be available until the end of September.
The Taiwan PASS Taiwan Railway version is a comprehensive electronic transport ticket integrating Taiwan Railway (台鐵), MRT (捷運), and Taiwan Tourist Shuttle (台灣好行).
It includes a five-day Taiwan Railway round-trip ticket, a two-day Taipei Fun Pass (北北基好玩卡), and a choice of either a return ticket for the Taoyuan Metro (桃捷), a 48-hour ticket for the Taichung Metro (中捷), or a two-day ticket for the Kaohsiung Metro (高捷).
Additionally, tourists can choose from one of four round-trip tickets for the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle. The options include the Qingjing Line, Sun Moon Lake Line, Alishan Line, and the Kenting Express Line.
According to the administration, travelers must purchase the Taiwan PASS through designated channels, such as the Klook and Lion Travel Agency websites. After purchasing, they can activate their pass by downloading the Taiwan PASS App and entering the redemption code.
