TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Installing a screen protector has become more convenient and affordable with new vending machines. The process takes only 90 seconds and is cheaper than manual installation.
The steps are simple: remove the old screen protector, press the “start” button, choose the phone model, and make a payment. After paying, clean your phone’s screen with an alcohol wipe, dry it with a cloth, and place it into the machine. In 90 seconds, your screen protector is installed.
In contrast, manual installation takes 2.5 to 5 minutes and costs approximately NT$200 more. The manual method is more meticulous, involving pressing down on the screen from top to bottom and pushing towards the edges to avoid bubbles.
MuGua, a screen protector installation professional, noted the difference in service quality between machine and manual methods. "We can remind customers about how to use and maintain them, and if we find any stain or bubble, we can take care of it in time," he said.
MuGua emphasized that while vending machines offer speed and cost savings, manual installations provide personalized service and attention to detail.
