TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taiwanese band Sorry Youth (拍謝少年) revealed at a press conference on Thursday (May 30) their involvement in the Bluebird Movement (青鳥行動), stating that they supported the cause during their break from band practice.

The trio, consisting of guitarist Weni (維尼), bassist Giang Giang (薑薑), and drummer Chung-Han (宗翰), also revealed plans to release their new album, "Noise Apartment" (噪音公寓), showcasing their unique blend of Taiwanese aesthetic rock that has garnered them numerous awards and a growing fan base across Asia and beyond.

 

A Nod from the Vice President

The band's influence reached new heights when Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim (蕭美琴) was seen joyfully dancing to their music during the inauguration of President Lai Ching-te (賴清德). The members of Sorry Youth expressed their honor in having the Vice President enjoy their music, a testament to their cultural impact and popularity. Their music, celebrated for its distinct Taiwanese rock flair, has not only won them fans but also prestigious awards, including the Golden Melody and Golden Indie Music Awards.

Sorry Youth's appeal extends far beyond Taiwan's borders, with recent tours in Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Canada, and Hong Kong, further elevating their international profile. The band's announcement of their upcoming concert at the Taipei Music Center on Aug. 24 marks a significant milestone, promising fans an amazing showcase of their latest work and hits.
