This move aims to accommodate the passenger surge expected from June 7 to June 11.
Starting May 30, travelers looking to secure a seat on these additional trains can book their tickets through various channels, including the Taiwan Railway e-booking app (台鐵e訂通), the official website, convenience stores, and the telephone voice booking system. This initiative provides convenience and ensures that more people can participate in the holiday festivities without transportation woes.
The six additional trains provide 3,228 seats, increasing the overall capacity by 6.1% over the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. This strategic enhancement of service capacity ensures that travelers enjoy their holidays easily and comfortably.
