TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Acclaimed sandwich maker Liquid Bread Co. (LBC), recognized as Taiwan's top choice in the "50 Best Sandwiches in Asia" list, announced on Wednesday (Feb. 28) that it will cease operation by the end of March this year.
Specializing in American-style sandwiches, LBC has been a crowd favorite since its establishment in 2017 due to its diverse variety of options.
In a Facebook post, LBC addressed its patrons, saying, "Dear customers, we have decided to close our business at the end of March. We thank you for your years of support and love. Without you, we wouldn't be where we are today."
"Before we close, we invite you all to visit us one more time and reminisce over our delectable sandwiches. Once again, thank you for your support throughout the years. LBC bows out," the statement wrote.
Following the announcement, a wave of disappointment and regret swept across social media, with users expressing sentiments such as, "It's such a pity, we liked your sandwiches," and "Truly a loss."
LBC was established by the founder of the well-known Taipei bakery, Purebread Bakery, as a sandwich shop focusing on the 'Fast Casual Food' concept.
