TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Weather experts forecast rainfall on Thursday (Dec. 28), especially in mountainous areas. Minimum temperatures on the plains will range from 16 to 17 degrees Celsius.
Independent meteorologist Wu Der-rong predicts that on Friday, water vapor will move eastward, with the south clear but occasionally cloudy, and the north and east experiencing brief rainfall.
Saturday's forecast includes mostly sunny weather with some cloud cover in the west, while the mountainous and eastern regions may have brief rainfall, along with rising temperatures.
For the New Year holiday, Sunday is expected to be sunny in the west, partly sunny with occasional brief rainfall in the east.
On Monday and Tuesday — New Year's Day and Jan. 2 — all areas are predicted to be mostly sunny and stable, with a slim chance of scattered rain in the east.
From Sunday to Tuesday morning, northern Taiwan will be comfortable, the south slightly hot, and temperatures will dip in the evening. Public advisories recommend adjusting clothing for those spending extended periods outdoors.
