TAIPEI (TVBS News) — A Russian woman, Lana Korotkova, lost her wallet during a Christmas party in Taichung with her child on Sunday (Dec. 24) but had it returned within ten minutes with the help of local police, describing the swift recovery as "unbelievable."
Korotkova had traveled from Hsinchu to attend the party at a Taichung sports center. Her wallet contained crucial documents, including her residency permit, which could have posed significant problems if lost.
Authorities quickly located the missing items via surveillance footage and identified the taxi cab where she left them. The entire operation took approximately ten minutes.
Local police emphasized their prompt response as part of their service to all citizens, aiming to leave a positive impression on foreign visitors and strengthen diplomatic ties.
