NEW TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The 2023 New Taipei City Christmasland is set to ring in the holiday cheer with a star-studded concert at the New Taipei City Civic Plaza on Dec. 9 and 10.
In anticipation of the large crowds, the New Taipei City Government on Wednesday announced traffic controls around the event venue.
Officials have stated that there will be an increase in the enforcement of parking violations, including towing actions, to help control the flow of traffic.
The city government has urged the public to use public transportation to get to the site in order to avoid congestion due to cars waiting to park on the roadside.
The Transportation Department has recommended that residents from Hsin Chuang, Zhonghe, Yonghe, and Hsintien districts take the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Circular Line to Banqiao station for easier access to the festivities.
For those coming from other counties and cities, the city government suggests taking the Taiwan Railway, Taiwan High Speed Rail, or the Intercity Bus to get to the Banqiao Bus Station.
