TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan People's Party (TPP) presidential hopeful Ko Wen-je disclosed on Saturday (Oct. 14) that he had discussed with Rose Tsou, former Yahoo-Kimo's general manager and Chair of World Vision Taiwan, about potentially becoming his running mate.
In a television interview, Ko admitted that Tsou satisfies three traits of the potential candidate: female gender, originally from central-southern Taiwan, and a business background.
However, Ko emphasized that "meeting these conditions does not mean the role is secured," but noted Tsou as an "outstanding candidate."
Tsou had previously responded to her potential candidacy, saying that she knew Ko through mutual friends, and clarified that her assistance during Ko's U.S. trip in October did not necessarily indicate her acceptance of the possible vice-presidential nomination.
