TAOYUAN (TVBS News) — The Chinese Taipei Cheerleading National Team arrived back in Taiwan on Wednesday (April 26) after clinching the gold medal in the Coed Premier at the 2023 ICU World Cheerleading Championships held in the United States.
The competition featured teams from across the globe competing in various categories, such as freestyle pom, hip hop, and coed performances.
Taiwan also secured the silver medal in the Special Olympics Traditional Finals category.
Nevertheless, a mishap occurred during the awards ceremony when China's national anthem was played by mistake, leading to confusion among the team.
Despite this setback, the team remained in high spirits, proud of their accomplishments, and determined to earn further accolades.
