KAOHSIUNG (TVBS News) — In southern Taiwan, a vendor of claw machines introduced a unique twist in their store over the long weekend — a human claw machine that attracted over 1000 people daily.
Participants were strapped into a machine, acting as the claw, and attempted to pick up as many snacks as possible with their bodies.
Despite being a pop-up event, the human claw machine was a massive success, prompting the store owner to consider making it a regular feature.
The owner transformed a twenty-foot container to make the machine and had to secure the right way to set it up outside the store.
Claw machines are gaining popularity in Taiwan, with some stores boasting over 200 machines.
