TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The annual “sheep run” hosted by Qingjing Farm in Taiwan's Nantou County kicked off on Friday (Feb. 17) with 112 sheep in attendance.

The 112 sheep were selected to celebrate the Qingjing Farm's 62nd anniversary in the 112th year since the establishment of the Republic of China, Taiwan.

Walking along the closed-off sections of Provincial Highway 14, the sheep began their run at 10:20 a.m. and finished their 1.8-kilometer workout in 30 min.

The event featured many professional shepherds to assist the sheep in moving forward, though many became distracted halfway through by the sights and grass by the road.

The delightful event resumed this year after a 3-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many tourists from far and near followed closely behind the animals to document their every move.
