TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Chairman of Taipei 101, Chang Hsueh-shun, participated on Thursday in the start of the Year of the Rabbit celebrations.
"I wish you all a prosperous and healthy Year of the Rabbit," Chang told TVBS News.
A large crowd of workers from the companies in the landmark building gathered in the lobby of Taipei 101 to take part in prayers for good fortune and prosperity.
The event featured traditional dragon dance performances, candy, auspicious couplets, and red envelopes.
The festivities ended with red envelopes containing a gold chocolate coin symbolizing luck and prosperity for the upcoming year.
