TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The latest poll shows President Tsai Ing-wen's disapproval rate has jumped to 50%, one week after she announced the military extension requirement on Dec. 27.
Premiere Su Tseng-chang's approval rate also reached a new low in the past four years of 33%.
Despite the low approval rates, over 70% of Taiwanese agree with the decision of extending military service to one year, according to the survey.
And over 60% are also willing to fight for their country, if there is a war between Taiwan and China.
