TAITUNG (TVBS News) — Taitung County in southeastern Taiwan is preparing to embrace large crowds for its New Year's Eve Concert on Dec. 31.
This year's lineup includes Billie Wang, Nick Chou, Crowd Lu, MC HotDog, Matzka, Sodagreen, and Jia Jia, which attracts many fans planning to visit the county.
Speaking to the media, Taitung Visitors Association Director Lu Chi-wen said over 90% of hotels in Taitung are fully booked.
And the Taitung County Tourism Department Director promised that they will make sure that the price of the hotel rooms will remain stable.
The Taiwan Railway will be reopened to passengers on Dec. 28. A section of the railroad was closed down due to damages from the earthquakes on Sep. 18.
To guide the crowd, the Taitung County Government even rolled out a new smart parking app that will inform users of lots that still have available spots around the city.
