TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Amid the proliferation of AI tools, the National Chengchi University (NCCU) invited the chief English news correspondent at TVBS News, Dimitri Bruyas, on Monday (May 13) to share some essential resume and interview techniques designed to make a lasting impression.

Bruyas's talk, titled "Path to Success: Fundamental Resume and Interview Techniques," underscored the importance of customizing resumes and cover letters to align with specific job requirements and company needs. "What truly makes a candidate stand out is how they build their brand in their resume and match their experiences and skills to the company's needs," he told students from the Master's Program in Global Communication and Innovation Technology (GCIT).

The experienced journalist stressed the necessity for job seekers to tailor their applications meticulously and offered strategies for effectively responding to interview questions. As an interviewer, Bruyas shared that the TVBS English News team interviews over 20 candidates annually, prioritizing those who demonstrate a deep understanding of the news industry. "The competition is fierce, but what we care about most is whether the candidates genuinely understand our work. We want to see people who are prepared, know what we report on, and can contribute," he explained.
