Kaohsiung head praises Hsiao Bi-khim’s expertise (TVBS News/Archive)
TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai commended Hsiao Bi-khim for her profound understanding of the United States and Japan, and her expertise in Taiwan's foreign affairs on Monday (Nov. 20).
Chen highlighted Hsiao's diplomatic skills and her strong connections within the political realms of these countries.
Discussing the anticipated collaboration between Lai and Hsiao, known as the "Lai-Hsiao team," Chen conveyed his respect for the candidates.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining respect for the vice-presidential candidate, acknowledging Hsiao's familiarity with Taiwan's foreign policy.
Chen and Hsiao have a longstanding working relationship, having collaborated for many years in Taiwan's Legislative Yuan.
