Taiwan gears up for National Day celebrations with air rehearsals (TVBS News)
TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan is gearing up for its National Day celebrations with planned air rehearsals above the Presidential Office Building. The celebration committee announced the rehearsals will take place on Sept. 26, Sept. 28 and Oct. 4 between 5:50 a.m. and 7:15 a.m.
The grand rehearsal for the National Day celebration will unfold on Oct. 7 at 1:20 p.m. in front of the Presidential Office Building, allowing citizens to enjoy the show from the North and South plazas.
Starting Sept. 25 at 11 p.m., nighttime road marking and traffic control measures will be implemented surrounding the Presidential Office Building. Motorists are advised to pay attention to traffic control messages and plan their routes in advance.
Traffic will also be controlled along the Ketagalan Boulevard (from Chongqing South Road to Huaining Street) from midnight on Oct. 5 until 6 a.m. on Oct. 11 for a light sculpture exhibition outside the Presidential Office Building.
The public can enjoy the light show without restrictions from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily between Oct. 6 and Oct. 10 in front of the office.
On National Day, Oct. 10, there will be two stages of traffic control issued depending on the events, and the public is advised to comply with traffic instructions and plan their departures in advance.
