The trendy lanterns, alongside traditional paper-cut lanterns, have become popular with the young and young at heart.
One grandfather in southern Taiwan reportedly waited multiple times to get lanterns for all ten grandchildren.
Fast food chains and convenience stores are also getting in on the market with their bunny lantern designs.
