TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan police remind iPhone users to set AirDrop to "receiving from contacts only" as some people use the convient feature to send inappropriate photos or videos to strangers.
The Taipei Metro police have received four similar complaints over the past two years.
Police said the suspects were eventually caught using surveillance cameras as AirDrop doesn't leave electromagnetic records.
People who violate the Anti-Sexual Harassment Prevention Act and distribute obscene content can receive up to two years in prison and a fine of NT$100,000.
