Taipei 101 unveils sneak peek of New Year Eve’s fireworks

TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taipei 101 released on Thursday (Dec. 15) a short simulation video of the upcoming New Year's firework show, to feature 16,000 fireworks. 

The 300-second long show will be accompanied by a brand new T-Pad or LED light display equipped with lasers, and light beams, Taipei 101 chairman Chang Hsueh-shun told local media. 

 


Spectators will also be able to watch the firework show from all four directions of the building for the first time, according to lighting artist Uno Lai, the director of this year's firework show.

The fireworks will cost NT$50 million (US$1.63 million) this year, according to the organizers.
