TAIPEI (TVBS News) — EVA Air (長榮航空) launched its EVA iLOUNGE digital service platform on Monday (March 16), becoming the first Taiwanese airline to introduce a comprehensive digital platform in its lounges. The platform integrates physical services with digital functions at lounges in Taoyuan International Airport, Kaohsiung International Airport, and Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport. Passengers can now access personalized services through a single digital interface.
Passengers access the platform by scanning a QR code on their tables without downloading an app, allowing immediate access to digital services. The system offers dining options, reading materials, lounge guides, flight information, personalized notifications, and directions to boarding gates. EVA Air designed the platform to deliver a personalized and convenient pre-flight experience for travelers using its airport lounges across Taiwan and Thailand.
The lounge guide feature provides facility introductions and layout maps, helping passengers quickly locate services within the airline's airport lounges. Taoyuan Airport's The Garden lounge offers digital meal ordering through the platform, while dining information includes detailed menu options across all three locations. The digital publication feature integrates EVA e-Library with diverse global newspapers and magazines, giving travelers extensive reading options during their pre-flight wait.
EVA Air, a member of Star Alliance (星空聯盟), the world's largest global airline alliance, provides its self-operated lounge services to both EVA passengers and Star Alliance Gold members. The airline continues to refine the platform's functions and interface to improve the passenger experience. EVA Air aims to transform pre-flight waiting time into a more pleasant part of the travel journey. ◼
