TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taoyuan's Department of Economic Development (桃園市政府經濟發展局) announced on Wednesday (Nov. 19) a planned water outage affecting 3,000 households in Taoyuan's Luzhu (蘆竹) and Dayuan (大園) districts, along with New Taipei City's Linkou District (林口區). Taiwan Water Corporation (台灣自來水公司) will halt water supply for 11 hours starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 22) due to construction on the Taoyuan Metro Green Line.
The Department urged residents to store water six hours before the outage. The affected areas include Luzhu's Kengkou (坑口里), Shanjiao (山腳里), Haihu (海湖里), and Binhai (濱海里) villages, Dayuan's Guolin (菓林里) and Zhuwei (竹圍里) villages, and the Linkou Power Plant (林口火力發電廠) in New Taipei City. Officials emphasized the importance of timely completion to minimize inconvenience.
If water does not resume after the outage, residents should contact Taiwan Water Corporation or the Department of Economic Development for immediate assistance. The Department provided a toll-free hotline, 1910, for inquiries and recommended consulting local village chiefs for additional help. For further details on the outage and restoration, residents can visit Taiwan Water Corporation's website.
