TAIPEI (TVBS News) — "Death Note" (死亡筆記本) musical's 10th anniversary symphonic concert will perform at Taipei Music Center (台北流行音樂中心) Nov. 29-30. The original cast returns with a full symphony orchestra, offering audiences a fresh live experience as tickets sell rapidly.
"Death Note" creators Tsugumi Ohba (大場鶇) and Obata Takeshi (小畑健) produced the manga that sold over 30 million copies worldwide. The musical premiered in 2015 featuring Kakizawa Hayato (柿澤勇人) as Light Yagami (夜神月) and Koike Teppei (小池徹平) as L, receiving widespread acclaim.
Koike Teppei expressed anticipation for the concert, noting his interpretation of character L may differ after a decade. He aims to showcase L's justice and madness in the performance while praising Grammy Award winner Jason Howland's musical arrangements.
