TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Chunghwa Telecom (中華電信), Taiwan's largest telecommunications provider, launched its AI subsidiary InventAI (中華創智國際股份有限公司) Tuesday (Oct. 21) with NT$120 million (around US$4 million) initial capital. The newly formed entity targets financial sector and customer service AI transformation applications. InventAI has already secured over 15 corporate clients and projects NT$60 million (around US$2 million) revenue by 2026.
Chunghwa Telecom chairman Chien Chih-cheng (簡志誠) emphasized the telecommunications giant's strategy to spearhead artificial intelligence innovation across Taiwan's technology sector. The company plans to enhance AI-ready infrastructure, concentrating on NFC applications and smart security technologies. Chien expressed aspirations for Chunghwa Telecom to become both an "enabler" and "co-creator" within Taiwan's emerging AI ecosystem.
InventAI general manager Li Po-ching (李柏青) unveiled two flagship platforms targeting financial sector digital transformation. DeepFlow provides intelligent analytics capabilities while DeepVoice offers customer sentiment analysis for voice recognition systems. These innovations enable financial institutions to develop AI governance compliance platforms and sophisticated customer service applications.
Chunghwa Telecom general manager Lin Jung-ssu (林榮賜) confirmed InventAI has secured over 15 corporate clients since its formation. The subsidiary provides comprehensive solutions spanning AI platform development to practical application deployment. This end-to-end approach facilitates digital transformation across Taiwan's corporate landscape through artificial intelligence integration.
